About the Government Delivery Unit
Turning promises
into progress.
The Government Delivery Unit coordinates, tracks and communicates the delivery of Kenya's national development priorities — driven by data, grounded in evidence, and centered on citizens.
🎯
Primary Role
To lead in the multi-agency coordination and delivery of National Government Development Priorities, Programmes, Projects and Presidential Directives — to Monitor, Accelerate, Report and Communicate on progress made in keeping the promises made by H.E. The President and his Administration.
Who We Are
A key organ of the Executive Office of the President
The Government Delivery Unit (GDU) is one of the key organs established under the Executive Office of the President, currently domiciled under the Office of the Chief of Staff and Head of The Public Service.
At its core, the GDU exists to bridge the gap between policy commitments and on-the-ground results. By working across government agencies, the private sector and civil society, it ensures that the Administration's promises are tracked, unblocked and delivered in a transparent and accountable manner.
The Unit serves as the government's primary delivery intelligence hub — aggregating field data, generating progress reports and communicating results to the public and policymakers in real time through the Delivery Information Management System.
